The Active Minds Class (AMC) is a pioneering program founded by Teddy Gainer in 2018 which is the sister organization of CTB Basketball. Creating a fusion of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) with Physical Education, AMC delivers a unique, dynamic curriculum rooted in the Washington state standards for SEL learning. The program focuses on essential learning outcomes such as self-awareness, social awareness, conflict resolution, self-management, and diversity, among other seminal life skills.
To date, AMC has been exclusively offered to their private institutional partners, including numerous schools throughout Washington state and most notably, the Department of Education at the University of Washington. By seamlessly integrating social, mental and physical development, AMC empowers students to thrive.
